Hell of the South West
The eighth annual BWR Utah returns to Cedar City May 14–15, 2027, giving the Hell of the South (West) a new chapter and a new date in May.
Cedar City remains our high-desert home for long gravel sectors, open views and riding at altitude. The 2026 course introduced extensive new Unroad terrain, trading the earlier technical singletrack emphasis for a route that rewarded pacing, power and the ability to keep making good decisions as the day wore on.
The weekend brings together rider check-in, the Unroad Expo, riding and the post-ride gathering. Meet the brands, catch up with your people, eat waffles and leave enough time for the stories afterward. The detailed 2027 program, venue and start times will be announced on the event page.
Figures reflect the 2026 Race Bijbel. The 2027 routes and ride options will be confirmed separately.
The BWR rider offering includes the following. Utah’s awards and eligibility will follow the final event regulations.

If event insurance was purchased, you may be eligible for a full refund with a valid claim through the insurance provider Allianz.
Full credit up until 3 months before the event date.
50% credit up until 1 month before the event date.
25% credit up until 1 week before the event date.
All credits will expire at the end of the 2027 BWR event season.
