The Noxturnal Ride is a one-night-only chance to ride Nox past sundown, while raising money for Valley Mountain Bikers.
This is a special event. Registration is limited to 175 riders. Online Registration closes November 12th at 11:59PM, or as soon as all available spaces fill up. There will be no day-of registration.
Dreading Daylight savings? The thought of less time to ride your bike got you down? Love riding Nox? Wish you could ride there at night? Now you can! Calling all spirits of the forest! Join the Valley Mountain Bikers in lighting up the night at Lake Nockamixon on Saturday, November 14th from 5 to 8 pm for the annual “Noxturnal” night ride.
VMB has obtained special permission from Lake Nockamixon State Park to host the unique one-night-only “Fun”draising event. In addition to rolling through one of our most beautifully maintained trail systems at night, your paid registration gets you: complimentary hot chocolate, s'mores, coffee, and some glowy bits to make your bike look extra special.
What you Need: a properly functioning mountain bike, helmet, and at least one bike light—preferably one rated for trail riding (1000 lumen, 2 hour burn time recommended). Ebikes are welcome as long as they meet PADCNR e-bike policy ands standards.
Ride Routes: There are 3 distances options: 18 miles, 13 miles, and 7 miles. The longer distance riders will go off first, followed by middle distance, and short distance, 10 minutes apart to not overcrowd the trails. Follow the arrows and tape to make sure all riders are going in the same direction. If you are not familiar with the trails, we have an optional guided group ride (for the short distance only) that will leave last. Be sure to stop by the trail-side aid station for hot chocolate, coffee, and snacks!
New for 2026: you can pre-order Noxturnal merch while registering for the event! Merchandise availability will be limited on the day of the event, so make sure you pre-order to get those sweet long sleeve shirts and hoodies! Youth sizes available, too! Deadline for pre-order: October 24th
Parking: All parking and event check-in will be at the Haycock Boat Launch off Rt 563 in Haycock Township. There will be no event parking at the Tower Rd Lot. Please follow parking instructions from volunteers when you ride. We encourage everyone to carpool to make sure everyone gets a parking space.
Check-In: All riders must check in at the VMB tent in the Haycock Launch Parking Lot. Check-in will open at 4:00 p.m. Please plan to arrive and check in by 4:45 p.m.
