Putting on a CX race takes permits, insurance, officials and a whole bunch of behind-the-scenes stuff.
We need 85 PAID registrations by Monday, November 16 to make THUNDERCROSS happen. If we don’t hit 85, we’ll have to cancel and everyone registered will receive a full refund.
Planning to race? Register early. It helps make sure we all get to race.

An additional bib plate for your pit bike is $5. Just select the pit-bike option when you register.
Because nothing says cyclocross like bringing another bicycle specifically for when the first bicycle becomes too muddy.
Racer check-in opens at 8:00 AM.
Check-in for each race closes 30 minutes before that race starts, so give yourself time to get checked in, pin your number, inspect the course, warm up, and contemplate your tire-pressure decisions.
GILLIES CREEK CX is a USA Cycling-sanctioned event.
Racers must have a valid USA Cycling license or purchase an eligible one-day license.
One-day licenses will be available for racers who need one.
Final 2026 permit number and one-day license pricing will be posted once confirmed.
Registration stays open until 6:00 PM the day before the race, so you've got plenty of time to make the excellent decision to race.
All race additions and category changes must also be completed through BikeReg before registration closes.
